Interpreting Dashboard Data
Key Metrics to Monitor Weekly
- New vs. Returning Customers: Track customer retention
- Average Order Value: Identify upsell opportunities
- Top Search Terms: Understand customer intent
- Zero-Result Searches: Find product gaps
- View-to-Purchase Ratio: Measure product page effectiveness
Warning Signs to Watch For
- Decreasing Average Order Value: May need bundling or upsells
- High View, Low Purchase: Pricing or trust issues
- Increasing Zero-Result Searches: Stock missing products
- Low Returning Customer Rate: Product or service quality concerns
Positive Indicators
- Growing VIP Customer Count: Building customer loyalty
- Increasing Average Order Value: Successful upselling
- High View-to-Purchase Ratios: Effective product pages
- Low Cart Abandonment: Smooth checkout process
Always consider external factors like seasons, holidays, marketing campaigns, and economic conditions when analyzing trends. A drop in sales during summer might be normal for winter products.
