1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to PureDevs Plugins. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and PureDevs ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your access to and use of our website plugins.puredevs.com, WordPress plugins, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
Important: If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
- "Plugin(s)" means any WordPress or WooCommerce plugin developed and distributed by PureDevs
- "Free Plugin" means plugins available at no cost on WordPress.org or our website
- "Premium Plugin" or "Pro Version" means paid versions of plugins with additional features
- "License" means the right to use our plugins according to the terms specified
- "Website" means plugins.puredevs.com
- "Freemius" means our third-party licensing and payment processing partner
- "User Account" means your registered account on our platform or Freemius
- "Subscription" means recurring payment plan for premium features
3. License and Usage Rights
3.1 Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, PureDevs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use our Plugins in accordance with the license type you have purchased.
3.2 License Types
We offer different license types based on usage:
- Single Site License: Use on one (1) WordPress installation/domain
- 5-Site License: Use on up to five (5) WordPress installations/domains
- Unlimited Site License: Use on unlimited WordPress installations under your control
- Developer License: Use on unlimited client websites with priority support
3.3 GPL Licensing
Free plugins distributed via WordPress.org are licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 (GPL v2) or later. Premium features and add-ons are subject to our proprietary license terms and Freemius licensing platform.
3.4 License Activation
Premium plugins require license key activation. You agree to:
- Activate licenses only on the number of sites permitted by your license type
- Not share license keys with unauthorized parties
- Deactivate licenses when removing plugins from websites
- Maintain accurate license activation records
4. Free vs. Premium Plugins
4.1 Free Plugins
Free plugins are provided "as-is" with:
- Core functionality at no cost
- Community support via WordPress.org forums
- Regular security and compatibility updates
- No guaranteed support response times
4.2 Premium Plugins
Premium plugins include:
- Advanced features beyond free version capabilities
- Priority email and ticket-based support
- Regular updates and new feature releases
- Extended documentation and tutorials
- 30-day money-back guarantee (see Refund Policy)
5. User Accounts
5.1 Account Creation
To purchase premium plugins, you must create an account through Freemius. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your account information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
5.2 Account Restrictions
You may not:
- Create accounts using false or misleading information
- Share account credentials with third parties
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Use another person's account without permission
6. Payment and Subscriptions
6.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Freemius. By making a purchase, you agree to Freemius's terms and conditions. We do not store credit card information on our servers.
6.2 Pricing
All prices are listed in USD (or local currency where applicable) and include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal.
6.3 Subscription Renewals
Premium plugin subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (annual or as specified) unless canceled. You will be charged the then-current renewal rate. You will receive renewal reminders before being charged.
6.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Freemius account dashboard. Cancellation will prevent future charges but will not refund the current period. Access to premium features continues until the end of the paid period.
6.5 Failed Payments
If a subscription renewal payment fails, we will attempt to process payment using the saved payment method. After multiple failed attempts, your license may be suspended, and premium features may be disabled.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time premium plugin purchases. If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting our support team.
7.2 Refund Eligibility
Refunds are granted under the following conditions:
- Request made within 30 days of original purchase
- Valid reason provided (technical issues, feature expectations, etc.)
- Good faith effort to resolve issues with our support team
- No history of repeated refund requests or abuse
7.3 Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Subscription renewals (must be canceled before renewal date)
- Purchases made more than 30 days ago
- Services or custom development work
- Promotional or discounted licenses (at our discretion)
7.4 Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days. Funds are returned via the original payment method. Upon refund, your license will be deactivated and access to premium features will be revoked.
8. Usage Restrictions
8.1 Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Redistribute: Sell, rent, lease, distribute, or sublicense our premium plugins
- Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer plugin code (except as permitted by GPL for free versions)
- Remove Branding: Remove or alter copyright notices, credits, or branding from plugins
- Violate Laws: Use plugins for illegal activities or in violation of applicable laws
- Malicious Use: Use plugins to distribute malware, spam, or engage in hacking
- Competitive Use: Use plugins to create competing products or services
- Exceed License: Install plugins on more sites than your license permits
- Share Licenses: Share license keys with unauthorized users
8.2 Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your use of our plugins complies with all applicable laws, including data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), accessibility standards, and industry-specific regulations.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 Ownership
PureDevs retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all intellectual property rights. Our trademarks, logos, and branding are owned by PureDevs and may not be used without written permission.
9.2 User-Generated Content
If you submit feedback, suggestions, reviews, or other content to us, you grant PureDevs a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such content into our Services.

10. Updates and Support
10.1 Plugin Updates
We provide regular updates including:
- Security patches and bug fixes
- WordPress and PHP compatibility updates
- New features and enhancements
- Performance optimizations
Updates are included with active premium licenses. Free plugins receive updates via WordPress.org. We recommend keeping plugins updated for security and compatibility.
10.2 Support
Free Plugin Support:
- Community support via WordPress.org forums
- Documentation and FAQ resources
- No guaranteed response times
Premium Plugin Support:
- Priority email and ticket-based support
- Response within 1-2 business days
- Extended documentation and video tutorials
- Support available only with active license
10.3 Scope of Support
Our support includes:
- Plugin installation and configuration assistance
- Bug reports and troubleshooting
- Feature clarification and usage guidance
Support does NOT include:
- Custom development or modifications
- Third-party theme or plugin conflicts (beyond basic troubleshooting)
- Server configuration or hosting issues
- Website design or content creation
11. Warranties and Disclaimers
11.1 Limited Warranty
We warrant that our premium plugins will substantially conform to their descriptions and documentation. This warranty is valid for 30 days from purchase.
11.2 Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of results
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
We do not warrant that our plugins will meet your specific requirements or work with all hosting environments, themes, or third-party plugins.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- PureDevs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or revenue, even if advised of the possibility
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- For free plugins, our liability is limited to $100 USD
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PureDevs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use or misuse of our Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of third parties
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Content you submit or transmit through our Services
14. Data and Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
14.1 Your Responsibilities as Data Controller
When you use our plugins on your WordPress site, you are typically the data controller for any personal data collected. You are responsible for:
- Complying with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Providing appropriate privacy notices to your users
- Obtaining necessary consents
- Implementing appropriate security measures
- Responding to data subject requests
14.2 Data Processing
Most plugin data is stored locally on your WordPress installation. We only access your site data when you explicitly grant access for support purposes. Any data sharing with third-party services (e.g., AI APIs) is disclosed in plugin documentation.
15. Termination
15.1 Termination by You
You may stop using our Services at any time. You may cancel premium subscriptions through your Freemius account, effective at the end of the current billing period.
15.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Abuse of support resources
- License sharing or piracy
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license rights immediately cease
- You must stop using premium features
- We may deactivate your license keys
- You will not receive refunds for unused subscription periods (except as required by law)
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect
16. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date
- Sending email notifications to registered users (for significant changes)
- Displaying notices on our website or within plugins
Your continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using our Services and cancel your subscription.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PureDevs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within that jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes.
18. Dispute Resolution
18.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at support@puredevs.com to attempt to resolve the issue informally. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes.
18.2 Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, rather than in court. However, you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.
18.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
19. Miscellaneous
19.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published on our website, constitute the entire agreement between you and PureDevs regarding the Services.
19.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
19.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
19.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
19.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet service failures.
19.6 Relationship
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and PureDevs.
19.7 Third-Party Beneficiaries
There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms. Our affiliates and service providers (including Freemius) have the right to enforce relevant provisions.
