Before You Uninstall
We’re sorry to see you go! Before uninstalling Customer History for WooCommerce, please consider reaching out to our support team. We might be able to help resolve any issues you’re experiencing.
If you have a moment, please let us know why you’re uninstalling. Your feedback helps us improve the plugin for everyone.
Step 1: Export Your Data
Before uninstalling, save your valuable customer data:
- Go to Customer History → Settings
- Click the Export tab
- Select what you want to export:
- Customer list and details
- Session history
- Search analytics
- Product view data
- Plugin settings
- Click Export to CSV
- Save the exported files to your computer
Step 2: Deactivate the Plugin
Deactivating stops the plugin from running but keeps your data:
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
- Find “Customer History for WooCommerce”
- Click Deactivate
Deactivating the plugin keeps all your data in the database. You can reactivate it later without losing any information.
Step 3: Delete the Plugin
To completely remove the plugin files:
- Ensure the plugin is deactivated first
- Click Delete under the plugin name
- WordPress will show a confirmation dialog
- Click OK to confirm deletion
Step 4: Remove Database Tables (Optional)
Removing database tables permanently deletes all customer history data. This action is irreversible!
By default, the plugin keeps your data even after deletion. To completely remove all data:
- Before deleting the plugin, go to Customer History → Settings
- Enable “Delete Data on Uninstall“
- Click Save Changes
- Now when you delete the plugin, all data will be removed
Alternative: Manual Database Cleanup
If you’ve already deleted the plugin but want to remove the data:
- Access phpMyAdmin in your hosting control panel
- Select your WordPress database
- Find tables starting with
wp_puredevs_customer_ - Select these tables and click “Drop”
Only perform manual database operations if you’re comfortable with phpMyAdmin. Always backup your database first!
