Get Started in 5 Minutes

This quick start guide will have you tracking customer behavior and viewing analytics within minutes. Follow these simple steps to start gaining valuable insights about your WooCommerce customers.

Step 1: Install and Activate

If you haven’t already installed the plugin:

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress dashboard
  2. Search for “Customer History for WooCommerce”
  3. Click Install Now and then Activate
Done!

The plugin automatically starts tracking customer sessions and behavior immediately after activation.

Step 2: View Your Dashboard

Navigate to Customer History in your WordPress admin menu. You’ll see:

  • Live Sessions: Real-time visitors browsing your store
  • Customer List: All tracked customers and their activity
  • Analytics: Visual statistics and insights
  • Search History: What customers are searching for

Step 3: Configure Basic Settings

Go to Customer History → Settings and review these key options:

  • Enable Tracking: Make sure this is checked
  • Filter Bot Sessions: Recommended to keep enabled
  • Filter Admin Sessions: Exclude your own browsing from analytics
  • Results Per Page: Set to your preferred number (default: 20)

Click Save Changes when done.

Step 4: Explore Customer Data

Click on any customer in the list to view:

  • Complete session history
  • Pages visited and products viewed
  • Search queries performed
  • Order history and total spent
  • Customer tier level and points
