Ensure Data Accuracy

Fix issues with incorrect or mismatched data in Customer History.

Mismatched Order Counts

Order numbers don’t match WooCommerce:

Solution:

  1. Go to Customer History → Tools → Sync
  2. Click Sync with WooCommerce
  3. Wait for completion
  4. Compare counts again

Note: Only completed orders are counted by default. Pending/cancelled orders excluded.

Incorrect Revenue Figures

Revenue totals don’t match:

Check Currency Settings

  • Verify base currency in settings
  • Check multi-currency conversion rates
  • Ensure tax settings match WooCommerce

Check Order Status Filter

  • Customer History only counts completed orders
  • WooCommerce may include processing orders
  • Adjust filter to match

Check Date Ranges

  • Ensure comparing same time periods
  • Check timezone settings
  • Verify date filters applied correctly

Missing Customer Data

Customers not showing in list:

  • Check if user account exists in WordPress
  • Verify customer made purchase (not just browsed)
  • Check filters (tiers, tags, search)
  • Look in “Unlinked Sessions” for guests

Wrong Customer Tiers

Tier levels incorrect:

  1. Go to Settings → Customer Tiers
  2. Verify tier point thresholds
  3. Click Recalculate All Tier Points
  4. Wait for completion
  5. Check tier assignments

Duplicate Customer Records

Same customer appears multiple times:

Cause: Different email addresses or guest vs logged-in sessions

Solution:

  1. Go to customer profiles
  2. Use Merge Customers tool
  3. Select records to merge
  4. Choose primary record
  5. Confirm merge

Session Count Discrepancies

Session numbers seem off:

  • Check if admin sessions filtered (should be)
  • Check if bot sessions filtered (should be)
  • Verify tracking enabled during period
  • Check for data cleanup/archival

Time Zone Issues

Timestamps showing wrong time:

  1. Go to WordPress Settings → General
  2. Verify timezone setting
  3. Customer History uses WordPress timezone
  4. Restart browser after changing

Product View Counts

View counts don’t match expectations:

  • Only logged views count (not bots)
  • Admin views filtered by default
  • Check date range filter
  • Verify tracking script loading on product pages

Search Analytics Discrepancies

Search counts off:

  • Only tracks site search, not external
  • Must use WooCommerce product search
  • Custom search forms may not track
  • Check if search tracking enabled
