Recover Missing Data

If customer data appears to be missing, these steps will help you locate and recover it.

Check Data Filters

Data might not be missing, just filtered:

  • Clear all dashboard filters
  • Reset date range to “All Time”
  • Check if specific customer tier is selected
  • Remove tag filters
  • Reset search box

Verify Tracking is Enabled

Ensure tracking hasn’t been disabled:

  1. Go to Customer History → Settings
  2. Check “Enable Tracking” is ON
  3. Verify tracking hasn’t been paused
  4. Check excluded pages settings

Database Sync Issues

Force re-sync with WooCommerce:

  1. Go to Customer History → Tools
  2. Click Sync with WooCommerce
  3. Wait for completion
  4. Check if data appears

Archival Settings

Data may have been archived:

  • Check Settings → Data Management
  • Review retention policies
  • Check archive folder for old data
  • Restore from archive if needed

Check User Account Linking

Guest data not linked to accounts:

  • Guest sessions stored separately
  • Linking happens on first login
  • Manual linking available in customer profile
  • Check “Unlinked Sessions” report

Database Table Check

Verify tables exist:

  1. Access phpMyAdmin
  2. Check for wp_puredevs_customer_* tables
  3. If missing, reinstall plugin
  4. Tables recreated on activation

Import from Backup

Restore from previous export:

  1. Go to Customer History → Import
  2. Select backup file
  3. Choose merge option
  4. Import data
